Registration of Plant Variety Protection Division actively transfers information on New Plant Variety Protection (PNVP) in Malaysia and National Variety Listing.
Our objectives are:
- To assist applicant’s to protect their new plant varieties;
- To give recognition and protection of the contributions made by farmers, local communities and indigenous on their creation of new plant varieties;
- To encourage public and private sectors in breeding industry on investment, development and protection on new varieties developed;
- To assist applicant’s in recording the common knowledge varieties in National Variety Listing.
